Where does inspiration come from? This event explores the fleeting moments, memories and emotional sparks that ignite the creative process. Through a collection of works from diverse artists, this session captures the quiet intensity of inspiration—unspoken feelings, chance encounters or lingering memories that live on in colour, form and texture.
In April 1996, South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission held its first public hearing to investigate over thirty years of human rights violations under apartheid. Led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Commission sought truth as a path to healing and justice. This pivotal moment sparked a powerful response in photographer Jillian Edelstein. Through her lens, we witness the stories of some of the 20,000 victims and perpetrators who courageously came forward to confront the past and help set things right.
